This expansion of the World of Warcraft game is centered on a world full of ice and zombies. As expected in the art book we are going to find a large amount of material oriented to this typology of environments, very cold and frozen areas.

As is usual with Blizzard books, with most books, it can only be obtained by purchasing the collector’s edition of this WoW expansion “Wrath of The Lich King”.

It really is such an interesting material and of such good quality that it should be sold independently, as do the rest of the franchises.

The book is full of illustrations; contains character design, many barbarian type and death knights and many environments of caverns, ice palaces, wastelands and so on.

All the illustrations are very pictorial and far from reality. This is really the style that Blizzard usually presents in its art books, a mix between more or less real proportions of its characters but with a very textured 2d painted finish.

It is a good art book to accompany the game and understand its development. There are practically no explanations inside, some guidance texts but little else ..

I’m a big fan of Blizzard but it’s true that in the long run, all of their art books look a lot alike. The typology and history change but it is more of the same each time. It’s a good book to have in your collection, but it wouldn’t kill me if I didn’t get it at a reasonable price.
